The nine words every traveler (or perhaps every travel couple) wants to hear: Would you like to stay in our honeymoon suite? There’s only one answer to that question and today we’re helping you say “yes” to it with 10 of the best honeymoon suites from around the world.

AFRICA

AZURA QUILALEA PRIVATE ISLAND’S VILLA QUILALEA, MOZAMBIQUE

A quick peek around some of the islands of Mozambique and you’d think you were in French Polynesia or the Caribbean and not along the coast of Africa. Azura Quilalea is a private island destination in Mozambique’s very postcard-like Quirimba Archipelago. While the entire island and hotel are very private, the Villa Quilalea, is even more so, located cliff-top on its own private section of the island. Enjoy your private alcove, infinity plunge pool and private dining area where you can have a sunset candlelit dinner. Oh, and you have a butler service.

NORTH AMERICA

EXCELLENCE PLAYA MUJERES TWO-STORY TERRACE SUITE

Trying to narrow down the best romantic suites in North America is like trying to determine the best meal in the world. It’s nearly impossible. However, the Excellent Playa Mujeres Two-Story Terrace Suite is hard to ignore, with its private rooftop with its own jacuzzi and plunge pool. It is, after all, two stories, which is hard to find in a romantic suite like this. Bonus points that the resort also has its own wedding staff and wedding venues.

EUROPE

LA SUITE SHANGRI-LA AT SHANGRI-LA HOTEL PARIS

It’s only appropriate that the “City of Love” would also be home to some of the world’s best honeymoon suites. At the top of that list is La Suite Shangri-La at the Shangri-La Hotel Paris. The nearly 3,000-square-foot suite features luxurious, modern design overlooking Paris from one of the top luxury hotel brands in the world. The 900-square-foot private terrace looks directly at the Eiffel Tower, where guests are mere steps from.

AUSTRALIA

ONE&ONLY HAYMAN ISLAND BEACH VILLA, AUSTRALIA

As hard as it was narrowing honeymoon suites down, so it was hard narrowing down One&Only resorts, since their award-winning, luxurious hotels are in some of the top honeymoon destinations in the world. The Hayman Island One&Only stands out because of views overlooking Hayman Beach, the Coral Sea, and the Whitsundays. While the resort does have penthouses, we prefer the beach villa, which is actually located on the beach and comes with an open-air private pool and indoor and outdoor showers.

ASIA

CONRAD MALDIVES RANGALI ISLAND WATER VILLA, MALDIVES

An over-water bungalow only seems appropriate for a honeymoon suite post and no destination feels more appropriate than the Maldives, where overwater bungalows are so popular. The 925-square-foot Conrad Maldives water villa sits just above the water, with a glass floor where you may see the marine life below your feet and amenities that include a private sundeck and plunge pool. Not to mention the resort’s Ithaa Undersea Restaurant, which is actually underwater, and what the New York Daily News called “the most beautiful restaurant in the world.”

SOUTH AMERICA

CAVAS WINE LODGE VINEYARD VILLA, ARGENTINA

What’s great about Cavas Wine Lodge is that it’s both everything that these luxurious suites are and aren’t. It matches the luxury and hospitality of all these resorts, yet away from the token honeymoon paradise on the beach, instead located at the foothills of the Andes amidst the world-renowned vineyards of Mendoza, Argentina. The 2,200-square-foot Vineyard Villa features its own outdoor living area and private shower garden, hot tub, plunge pool and upstairs terrace with a fireplace and view of the Andes.
